Medications are provided to stimulate ovaries for egg collection and a couple visits are performed for ultrasound monitoring of egg sizes.
A final trigger shot is given by injection for maturation of eggs once the eggs reach 17-18 mm size.
Eggs are collected by ultrasound under anestesia and given to embryology lab. Sperm sample from male partner is retrieved through ejaculation or through TESA/PESA procedure.
In ICSI procedure one single sperm is picked up with needle and injected directly to each egg. Embryos are formed as a result of fertilisation of eggs.
Embryo(s) are transferred into uterus after 3 to 5 days of fertilisation.
Medications to support the endometrial lining and the implantation of embryos are provided.
2 weeks after embryo transfer, blood test is done to check the pregnancy.
